Colombian singer J Balvin has positioned himself as one of the most influential Latin artists globally, ranking as the second Latin artist in the world with more streams on Spotify.

According to the platform’s most recent data as of February 2026, the Colombian performer holds second place among Latin artists with the highest number of global streams, trailing only Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, who maintains the overall lead with more than 20 billion streams.

This achievement confirms the continued dominance of reggaeton as one of the most influential genres in international music and highlights the growing impact of Spanish-speaking artists in the global streaming market.

With a career spanning more than two decades, J Balvin has consistently remained among the most influential names in urban music, thanks to his ability to reinvent himself and collaborate with artists from different genres and countries.

Currently, the Colombian artist records around 76.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, placing him among the most listened-to musicians on the planet. Although he reached the platform’s global number-one position in 2018, he continues to maintain a strong presence in international rankings, remaining within the world’s top 20.
