Adidas and the Colombian Football Federation unveiled the away jersey Colombia will wear at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on March 20. The kit runs deep blue with a graphic pattern inspired by the country’s two oceans.

It goes on sale the same day and is expected to make its on-field debut March 26 against Croatia in Orlando, Florida, where Colombia plays as the visiting side.

Blue returns to the away kit

The new jersey is the first away kit in blue since the 2021 Copa America and the Qatar 2022 qualifying campaign. The two previous away jerseys were red and black.

The design opens with a deep blue base referencing the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and over it, an organic pattern runs in turquoise. Neon green details on the V-neck collar, the three stripes across the shoulders, and the sleeve edges.

The federation crest appears on the left side of the chest in monochromatic green, as well as the retro Adidas logo on the right.

What the federation and Adidas said

Ramon Jesurun, president of the Colombian Football Federation, spoke to the concept behind the design. “The seas surrounding Colombia are part of our identity, and seeing that inspiration reflected in the jersey the national team will wear at the World Cup fills every Colombian with pride,” he said.
The jersey comes in three versions.

The player version carries an athletic cut and heat-sealed logos and sells for 599,950 Colombian pesos, roughly US$145. The fan version in short sleeves goes for 379,950 pesos (US$103), and the long-sleeve edition for 429,950 pesos (US$117).

15 years with Adidas and nine kit suppliers throughout history

Adidas has dressed the national team without interruption since 2010, but the relationship between the German brand and the federation goes back further. Its first run began in 1985, with the red home and yellow away jerseys Colombia wore during qualifying for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

Puma came in for one year in 1987, but in 1988, Adidas returned with the red kit with yellow and blue accents that took Colombia to the round of 16 at Italia 90.

After that cycle, Umbro supplied the team through 1997, and Reebok took over in 1998, dressed Colombia at the World Cup in France and the 2001 Copa America, and held the contract through 2002.

Late that year, the federation signed with Italian brand Lotto, which outfitted the team from 2003 to 2010 without Colombia qualifying for a World Cup. In total, nine companies have supplied kits throughout the recent team’s history.

Adidas returned in 2011 and extended the partnership for eight additional years in Sep. 2021, signing a contract as the official supplier through 2030.

Debut against Croatia and the road to the 2026 World Cup

After Adidas unveiled Colombia’s away jersey for the 2026 World Cup, Colombia will play with the new garment against Croatia on March 26 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando as the visiting side, which makes the new away kit the likely choice for that match. Three days later, on March 29, Colombia faces France, the reigning runner-up. Both matches serve as the final warm-up games before the World Cup. The tournament kicks off June 11 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
