Colombia’s culinary scene continues to gain international recognition, this time in a field traditionally dominated by countries like Italy, Argentina, and Brazil: pizza.

Two Colombian pizzerias made it into the 50 Top Pizza Latin America 2026 ranking. Among them is Pizzardi Artigianale, which reached an outstanding third place, and La Bella Pizza, which ranked 48th. This achievement not only marks a milestone for international cuisine in Colombia, but also positions the country as an emerging player in the Latin American gastronomic circuit.

The awards ceremony took place in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together chefs, experts, and culinary critics from across the continent. The ranking, backed by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, evaluates factors such as ingredient quality, technique, innovation, and the overall dining experience.

Colombia stood out in this edition with two proposals that reflect the evolution and diversity of its gastronomic scene.

Pizzardi Artigianale

Colombia’s biggest achievement in this edition was the third-place ranking earned by Pizzardi Artigianale, a Bogota-based pizzeria that has gained recognition for its commitment to authentic Neapolitan tradition. This distinction represents a significant leap from its 22nd place in 2025 and marks the first time a Colombian establishment has entered the top five of the ranking.

Pizzardi’s concept revolves around respect for Italian techniques, from carefully fermented dough to the selection of ingredients with protected designation of origin. Its menu features classics such as Margherita, Marinara, and Capricciosa pizzas, along with creative options that incorporate local ingredients while maintaining a Neapolitan essence.

Beyond its cuisine, the restaurant has built a reputation based on hospitality and authenticity—key factors behind its strong positioning both locally and internationally. This recognition further strengthens Bogotá’s status as a growing gastronomic destination capable of competing with major culinary capitals in the region.

La Bella Pizza

Meanwhile, La Bella Pizza, located in Cali, made its debut in the ranking by securing the 48th position. Although more modest, its inclusion is significant as it reflects the expansion of high-level culinary proposals beyond Colombia’s capital.

The restaurant’s concept blends Italian roots with a local approach, focusing on slow-fermented dough and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Its menu includes options such as burrata, pesto, and seafood pizzas, complemented by appetizers, desserts, and beverages inspired by Italian cuisine.

This recognition also highlights Cali’s growing role as an emerging gastronomic hub, capable of diversifying its culinary offerings beyond traditional dishes and gaining visibility on international stages.
