World Cup fever will begin to be felt in Colombia even far from the stadiums. The Colombian Football Federation confirmed that during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, official Fan Zones called “La Casa de la Sele” will be installed in five cities across the country, spaces designed for thousands of fans to gather and follow the matches of the Colombia National Team in a massive and festive atmosphere.
Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, and Bucaramanga will be the main venues for this initiative, which aims to bring the World Cup experience closer to fans who will not be able to travel to the United States, Mexico, or Canada, the host countries of the tournament. In addition, a special Fan Zone will also be set up in Miami, a city with a large Colombian community.
What will Colombia’s Fan Zones be like during the 2026 World Cup?
The fan areas will feature giant screens to broadcast the matches live, cultural activities, musical performances, food areas, and appearances by former historic players of the Colombian National Team. According to the organizers, the goal is to turn each city into a meeting point to celebrate football and strengthen the sense of national identity around the team coached by Néstor Lorenzo.
The proposal is part of a strategy that seeks to replicate the Fan Festival model implemented by FIFA in recent World Cups, which has demonstrated a major social and tourism impact in cities around the world.
In addition to offering free admission throughout Colombia, the Fan Zones will include family-friendly activities and interactive experiences sponsored by partner brands of the Colombian Football Federation.
The Colombian cities that will host the 2026 World Cup Fan Zones
Bogota will have two main gathering points: Parque El Tunal and Parque Fontanar del Río, spaces that together could host nearly 45,000 people during the Colombia National Team’s most important matches.
In Medellin, the Fan Zone will be located at Coliseo Iván de Bedout, a venue prepared to accommodate between 8,000 and 15,000 attendees, depending on programming and authorized capacity.
Cali will host activities at Parque La Retreta, one of the city’s most emblematic cultural spaces. A massive turnout is expected there due to the strong football tradition of the Valle del Cauca region.
Barranquilla, considered the historic home of the Colombia National Team, will install its Fan Zone at the Malecón del Río. This venue could gather between 20,000 and 30,000 fans and is expected to become one of the main celebration hubs during the tournament.
In Bucaramanga, matches will be screened at Estadio Américo Montanini, where recreational and cultural activities related to the World Cup will also take place.
Meanwhile, Miami’s Fan Zone will operate at the Doral Central Park Amphitheater and will be the only event with paid admission through tickets managed by Ticketmaster.
Music, culture, and family atmosphere will accompany Colombia’s matches
The Fan Zone experience will go beyond simply broadcasting the matches. The Federation and local organizers are preparing concerts, artistic activities, and gastronomic areas to turn every Colombia National Team game into a collective celebration.
The presence of former legendary national team players was also confirmed, with participation in talks, fan activities, and special events during the tournament.
Colombia will make its group-stage debut on June 17 against Uzbekistan. The team will then face the Democratic Republic of the Congo on June 23 and close the first round against Portugal on June 27, a match that will also feature a special Fan Zone in Miami.
Authorities and organizers recommended that fans arrive early, especially in cities such as Bogota and Barranquilla, where the largest crowds are expected due to the high anticipation surrounding Colombia’s participation in the 2026 World Cup.
