Meanwhile, Boyaca was named South America’s Leading Regional Destination, surpassing traditional competitors such as Mendoza (Argentina) and Araucania (Chile). This recognition highlights the natural and cultural richness of the department, from its paramo landscapes and lagoons to its historic legacy in municipalities such as Villa de Leyva, Tunja, and Paipa. Boyaca has consolidated itself as an ideal destination for nature, culture, and adventure tourism.

In a category of national scope, Colombia was recognized as South America’s Leading Youth Travel Destination, thanks to its strong appeal among new generations of travelers. Hiking in the Sierra Nevada, ecotourism in the Amazon, Medellin and Bogota’s nightlife, and the cultural offerings of mid-sized cities make the country a diverse destination for those seeking authentic, energetic travel experiences.
