Luxury Greek hospitality chain Aria Hotels has unveiled its new high-end stay in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia: Aria Maria. Located in the heart of Cartagena’s Historic Center, this new luxury hotel is housed in a restored 18th-century building, set to blend the city’s rich history and the high standards of the hospitality chain.
Aria Maria is set to open in early 2027 and is the second luxury stay announced so far this year in Colombia by Aria Hotels.

The Aria Maria hotel will feature 35 elegant rooms and suites, a signature Greek restaurant that brings the flavors of the Aegean to the Caribbean coast, a boutique and lifestyle concept store at the pool level, a wellness spa and gym, and an expansive rooftop with panoramic views of the sea.
The building, which had remained untouched for decades, will be thoughtfully reimagined — honoring its original architectural identity while introducing a refined and contemporary character that reflects the energy of Cartagena today. Through this sensitive transformation, Aria Maria aims to offer a new hospitality experience where history, design, and authenticity come together.

The announcement of the upcoming Ana Maria hotel follows the unveiling of Casa del Torno earlier this year. Set at a once monastic residence for Clarissine nuns and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the property offers four spacious bedrooms accommodating up to nine guests, along with a private pool for moments of complete relaxation.
