Colombia’s Football Federation (FCF) revealed the 23-woman squad for this year’s Women’s Copa America in Ecuador. Colombia will make its debut on Wednesday, July 16 against Venezuela at the Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda stadium in Quito.

The squad remains the same as the one used during the last international break before the tournament, when the national team played twice against Mexico. The first match ended in a goalless draw, while the second saw a 1-0 loss, with Diana Ordoñez scoring the only goal. Despite speculation surrounding potential late call-ups due to a virus that affected some players, there have been no changes reported to the squad.

The squad for the international competition is composed by Ana María Guzmán, Ángela Barón, Carolina Arias, Catalina Pérez, Catalina Usme, Daniela Arias, Daniela Caracas, Daniela Montoya, Ilana Izquierdo, Jorelyn Carabalí, Katherine Tapia, Leicy Santos, Liced Serna, Linda Caicedo, Lorena Bedoya, Manuela Pavi, Marcela Restrepo, Mary José Álvarez, Mayra Ramírez, Natalia Giraldo, Valerín Loboa, Wendy Bonilla, and Yirleidis Quejada.

Linda Caicedo and Mayra Ramírez are Colombia’s stand out players to face the tournament, as they will hope to lead the national team to Victory in the Women’s Copa America.

Mary José Álvarez from Atlético Nacional, Natalia Giraldo and Carolina Arias and Valerin Loboa from Deportivo Cali, are the local league’s representatives in the national team for this tournament.

New Brighton signing Manuela Vargas was left out of the squad for the Copa America because she is recovering from an ACL injury she suffered at the beginning of the year.

Another notable exclusion from the list is that of Luisa Agudelo. The Deportivo Cali Goalkeeper won the Colombian League in 2024, and has been the main option between the three posts in the national team since her days in the Under-17s category.

Colombia will face Venezuela in their first game, Paraguay in their second game and Bolivia in their third game. They will finish the first stage of the Copa America against Brazil on Friday, July 25.
