Karol G becomes the first Colombian artist and Latina woman to headline the Coachella Festival, one of the most important and prestigious music events in the world. The festival will take place over two weekends, from April 10–12 and April 17–19, 2026, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, bringing together some of the most relevant names in the music industry.

The artist surprised her fans on social media by sharing the official poster along with the message: “Coachella 2026, LA BICHOTA IS HEADLINER See you in the desert.” Karol G will perform on Sunday, April 12 and April 19, as the main attraction of those days. This announcement cements her status as a global icon of urban music and an undeniable reference for Colombia and Latin America.

In this edition, Karol G will share the headlining position with world-class artists such as Justin Bieber, Anyma, and Sabrina Carpenter, who will also lead the festival. During her show, the Colombian singer will perform live her most recent album, Tropicoqueta, a production that has been widely acclaimed and promises to fill Coachella’s stage with Latin rhythms and innovative fusions.

It is worth noting that the Colombian artist had already performed on this stage in 2022, but at that time as a special guest. Now, her name appears in the top line of the lineup, a place that until now had only been reached by Bad Bunny as a Latin representative. This new achievement not only makes her the first Latina woman and Colombian to headline Coachella, but also strengthens the role of Latin urban music on the international scene.

Tickets for the festival are already on sale, ranging from US$549 to US$1,299, depending on the category. As usual, tickets are expected to sell out quickly, given the magnitude of the event and the quality of the confirmed artists.

The announcement comes at a time of great success in Karol G’s career. In recent months, she has starred in historic moments such as her performance at the Vatican alongside tenor Andrea Bocelli during the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, as well as her appearance at the halftime show of an NFL game in Brazil. These milestones further reinforce her position as one of the most influential Latin artists of today.
