The legendary American progressive metal band Dream Theater is coming back to Colombia after more than a decade. The group — considered one of the genre’s greatest exponents worldwide — has confirmed a concert on April 18, 2026, at the Movistar Arena in Bogota, as part of their ambitious international tour celebrating 40 years of career.
The show will also mark the official return of founding drummer Mike Portnoy, who will reunite with James LaBrie, John Petrucci, John Myung, and Jordan Rudess for what promises to be a historic celebration.
Dream Theater: A long-awaited return to Colombia
This concert will mark Dream Theater’s return to the country after their previous performances in 2006, 2008, and 2012 — shows remembered for their sonic power and technical precision. Now, with a venue as large as the Movistar Arena and the return of Portnoy to the lineup, expectations among Colombian fans have never been higher.

A historic tour: Celebrating 40 years and the legacy of ‘A Change of Seasons’
Dream Theater will carry out their 40th-anniversary Latin American tour between April and May 2026, featuring concerts across Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. During this tour, the band will perform their new album Parasomnia in full, and pay tribute to the 30th anniversary of their epic song “A Change of Seasons,” one of the most influential compositions in their discography.
