Colombian football legend Radamel Falcao Garcia is set to complete a sensational return to Millonarios F.C. The move was confirmed on Wednesday morning, after the Bogota club created mass speculation by posting a message that said ‘The Last Dance’ on X on Tuesday afternoon.

Millions of fans around the world speculated over what the cryptic message could be about, with many saying it had something to do with the season pass plan instead of the return of the iconic number nine.

Now, Falcao is confirmed to once again play for his boyhood club. This will be the striker’s third spell at the Bogota club.

Will the third time be the charm for Falcao and Millonarios?

The first semester of 2026 will be Radamel Falcao’s third spell at the Bogota club. He played for Millonarios in 2024-II and 2025-I, and both times, Millonarios and Falcao failed to reach the final of Colombian football.

Immediately after the conclusion of the first semester of 2025, Radamel Falcao Garcia left Millonarios as he was upset with the way both he and his family were treated by some sections of the Colombian sports media.

Falcao will not be able to play during the first game weeks of the local league, as, after an explosive post-match conference after the defeat against local rivals Independiente Santa Fe, he was suspended for four matches by Dimayor. So far, Falcao has played 29 games for the Bogota giants and scored 11 goals, the majority of which came in the play-offs of the local tournament.

The ‘Tiger’ sets his sights on the Copa Sudamericana ‘Super Clasico’

The Tiger, Radamel Falcao Garcia, is expected to lead his team into a massive continental ‘Super Clasico of Colombia’ against Atletico Nacional de Medellin on March 4, 2026. This game is part of the preliminary round of the CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana, where the winner will advance to the group stages. Falcao has already scored twice against his friend David Ospina when he faced the Medellin giants away from Bogota.

Both clubs have a massive clash on the horizon, as Atletico Nacional has signed Milton Casco, a remarkable Argentine veteran who achieved Copa Libertadores success with River Plate. The Medellin club is also reportedly close to confirming the signing of Colombian national team full-back Santiago Arias.

Today, Millonarios FC is traveling to Argentina, where Falcao will presumably meet his teammates, as the ‘Ambassador’ team will face Argentine giants River Plate and Boca Juniors in the next few weeks as part of their pre-season tour.
