The Traveller Review Awards 2026 recognized five regions of Colombia as the most welcoming in the country. The list includes Boyaca for the third consecutive year, along with Caldas, Quindio, Cundinamarca, and the Archipelago of San Andres, Providencia, and Santa Catalina.

These results are part of the international awards organized by Booking.com, which highlight destinations and accommodations that offer the best hospitality experiences based on millions of verified traveler reviews.

The 14th edition of these awards analyzed more than 370 million reviews published by users between 2022 and November 2025. Based on these ratings, several Colombian regions ranked among the most welcoming thanks to the quality of their tourism services, personalized attention, and the warmth of their people.

This recognition shows that hospitality has become one of the most valued factors for travelers when choosing a destination, even at the same level as natural landscapes, gastronomy, or cultural heritage.

The department of Boyaca once again leads the list of the most welcoming regions in Colombia. This recognition, which it receives for the third consecutive year, confirms the department’s reputation as one of the destinations where visitors feel most welcomed.

Boyaca is known for its colonial towns, historical heritage, and mountainous landscapes. One of its most representative destinations is Villa de Leyva, a town famous for its colonial architecture, its large central square, and cultural events that attract travelers from different parts of the country and the world.

In addition to its architectural heritage, the region has a great natural diversity. Paramos (highland moors), lagoons, and rural routes are part of the tourism offerings that attract visitors seeking peaceful experiences in contact with nature.

However, what visitors highlight the most is the hospitality of its people. Kindness, close attention, and the willingness to share local traditions have turned Boyaca into a destination where travelers often feel at home.

The Coffee Region and other areas that stand out for their hospitality

Along with Boyaca, other regions of the country were also highlighted in the Traveller Review Awards 2026 for their ability to offer memorable experiences to visitors. One of them is Caldas, a department that is part of the renowned Coffee Cultural Landscape.

In cities such as Manizales and nearby municipalities like Villamaria, travelers find a combination of nature, coffee culture, and wellness tourism, especially in areas known for their hot springs and mountain scenery.

The list also includes Quindio, one of the most visited destinations in Colombia’s Coffee Region. There, places such as Salento and the Cocora Valley offer rural tourism experiences, hikes among wax palms, and direct contact with coffee culture.

In the Colombian Caribbean, the Archipelago of San Andres, Providencia, and Santa Catalina completes the list. This destination is recognized for its crystal-clear, seven-color waters and white sandy beaches, its Raizal culture, and the characteristic hospitality of island communities.

✈️🌎 #viajes #travel #colombia #sanandres #vivirviajando ♬ sonido original – Despegar Chile 🇨🇱

A recognition that strengthens Colombia’s tourism image

The Traveller Review Awards have become one of the most important international indicators for evaluating hospitality in the tourism industry. Unlike other recognitions, these awards are based on real traveler experiences, making them a reliable reference for those looking for destinations with a strong reputation.

In Colombia’s case, the presence of several regions on the list shows that the country continues to stand out not only for its biodiversity and cultural richness, but also for the warmth of its people.

Destinations such as Cundinamarca, with towns like Guatavita and Zipaquira, offer a combination of history, nature, and hospitality that attracts both national and international travelers.
