Luisa Fernanda W, Silvy Araújo, Juanda, and “El Borrego” lead in the Forbes Colombia Top 2024 content creators list that recognizes 28 influencers.
From personalities who started as content creators in social media to actors and comedians who found a way online to benefit their business and personal brands, Forbes Colombia shared the best “Colombian leading talents.”
Forbes’ Top 2024 Creators and leading talents in Colombia
Luisa Fernanda W, a Colombian entrepreneur and influencer, tops the list published by Forbes. Through an Instagram reel, the influencer shared with her audience how inspiring is to appear on the cover of Forbes. She never imagined once she began posting on social media that it would take her to this moment. Being an influencer is an amazing experience if done responsibly and consciously, Fernanda W said.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) of Colombia, indicated that a genuine connection with audiences and authenticity are key to influencer marketing. Fernanda W told Forbes she has not lost the authenticity with which she began. Working hard and dreaming was the fuel to the fire of becoming who she is now.
Silvy Araújo a fitness influencer from Cartagena, Colombia was also named in the Top Creators list. To achieve a goal is about “discipline and not motivation,” Araújo said. She started sharing workout routines on social media, and later Silvy Araújo developed with a team the app SilBe, where users can find fitness training programs, yoga and healthy recipes. Forbes said Araújo’s main income comes from her business endeavors and not publicity. However, this is not the case for all influencers on the list.
In Colombia, influencers’ partnerships with businesses have grown. The investment companies made in influencer marketing positioned Colombia as the second Latin American country with the highest investment last year, right behind Brazil, which ranked first with 34%. Forbes said the Colombian content creation industry could reach 300,000 million pesos by the end of 2024.
Carlos Alberto Díaz Colmenares known as “El Borrego,” 17, already has 32 million followers on TikTok and features in the Forbes top 2024 creators. With his videos, he gives insights into living on a farm and the love he has for his dogs, horses, chickens, etc. Besides becoming an influencer, “El Borrego” wrote the book “La Granja del Borrego,” and launched his coffee brand.
The final Top Creators list came after a data analysis which included influencers’ number of followers, business practices and engagement rates, Forbes said.
