Tesla made its formal entry into the Colombian market on Thursday, unveiling a five-model portfolio and a first local service and experience center as the American electric-vehicle maker begins taking online orders for deliveries slated for late January and early February 2026.
The company presented to the press at the Andino mall in Bogota, where Tesla officials said the lineup will include five references, led by the Model 3 as the brand’s entry model in Colombia, with prices starting at 109 million Colombian pesos(US$29,418). Tesla said the prices are competitive in Colombia’s electric-vehicle market and “a show of our commitment to Colombia,” Karen Sacarpetta, Tesla’s country manager, said at the launch.
Tesla said the vehicles available in Colombia will offer driving ranges in excess of 400 kilometers on a single charge. Orders can be placed online immediately, the company said, and the first units are expected on Colombian roads between the end of January and the start of February 2026.
A second Tesla experience center is set to open in Colombia, at Medellin’s El Tesoro mall
The company also announced plans to expand its physical presence beyond Bogota. A second experience center is expected to open soon in Medellin’s El Tesoro mall, and Tesla said it will roll out additional centers for test drives, customer service, and maintenance. Tesla said it will begin installing a network of Supercharger stations starting in Bogota to support charging infrastructure for customers.
Tesla enters Colombia with a direct-presence business model, the company emphasized, selling and servicing vehicles without intermediaries or authorized dealers. Company officials described that structure as a factor that allowed Tesla to offer the portfolio at prices it termed “accessible,” compared with some other markets where the company operates.

At Thursday’s event, Tesla stressed the expansion plan would include not only sales and demonstrations but also after-sales service capacity. The announcement said the company will operate service and experience centers that provide test drives and support for owners as the electric infrastructure is built out.
Model 3 will be Tesla’s entry into the Colombian market
Sacarpetta did not provide a breakdown of prices for the other models in the portfolio at the launch; the Model 3 was identified as the entry offering at 109 million pesos (US$29,418).
Tesla representatives said more details about the model range, options, and the rollout schedule for sales centers and Superchargers would be provided in the coming weeks.
The company’s arrival follows growing interest in battery-electric vehicles across the region and marks Tesla’s first official commercial presence in Colombia. The firm said deliveries beginning early next year will be the first Teslas available to Colombian buyers through the company’s direct online ordering system.
