Shakira surprises Barranquilla during Carnival 2025
Coinciding with the 2025 Barranquilla Carnival, Shakira made her highly anticipated return to the stage in her hometown. Her visit took place during one of the most important pre-carnival events, La Guacherna. Rumors circulated for days about her possible attendance at the nighttime parade, though neither she nor her team confirmed her presence.
The day after La Guacherna, Shakira surprised her fans by sharing photos on social media, dressed as a skeleton with face paint, enjoying the parade with her children.
In one of the images, she is seen sitting on the edge of a house in a well-known neighborhood of the city. This did not go unnoticed, and Barranquilla residents affectionately dubbed the spot “Shakira’s Bordillo” (Shakira’s Low Wall), expressing their joy at seeing the artist experiencing the carnival of her homeland with her children.
