In Colombia and elsewhere across the world, influencers – or content creators – enjoy huge earning potential. Colombia has a variety of influencers, ranging from gamers to lifestyle creators, who successfully connect with different audiences through platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Here are some of the most importnat influencers trending right now in Colombia.

Luisa Fernanda W

Luisa Fernanda Castaño Rios, originally from Medellin, is known on social media as Luisa Fernanda W. She started out by creating content for Instagram and YouTube, where she shared humorous videos and vlogs about her daily life. Her popularity began to rise in 2015 and she gained over 30,000 subscribers in her early years working online. Over time, Luisa Fernanda W focused exclusively on creating content for Instagram and TikTok, where she now shares topics related to fashion and beauty. Today, she is one of the highest-paid Colombian influencers, with over 19 million followers on Instagram and more than five million on TikTok. She has gained international recognition and has been invited to prestigious events such as Milan Fashion Week.

La Liendra

Mauricio Gomez, known as La Liendra, is originally from Tebaida, Quindio. He went viral in 2015 after sharing a video where he humorously made fun of his financial situation. After this initial success, he continued creating humorous content on Instagram, where he now has more than six million followers, and on TikTok, where he has over 600,000. La Liendra is well-known for his personal success story and his unique sense of humor. Today, he is one of the most prominent influencers in Colombia.

Yeferson Cossio

Yeferson Cossio, from Medellin, began his career as a model in 2017, but he quickly transitioned into the entertainment industry by creating content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. He became famous for pulling elaborate pranks on his family and friends. Cossio is one of the highest-earning content creators in Colombia, but also one of the most controversial due to the extent to which he is willing to go to produce content. Among his most controversial stunts are the breast implant surgery he had following a bet with his friends, and more recently, an elective lengthening surgery. His irreverent and daring style has made him a highly followed and talked-about figure.

Dani Duke

Daniela Duke, known on social media as Dani Duke, is originally from Medellin. She started her career on YouTube by sharing makeup tutorials, where she reached a community of over 400,000 followers. Currently, her content focuses on fashion and beauty, which she mainly shares on Instagram, where she has more than three million followers, and TikTok, where she has over two million followers. Dani Duke has become a key figure in the beauty world on social media in Colombia.

Calle y Poche

Daniela Calle and Maria Josr Garzon, known as Calle y Poche, are a couple of influencers recognized for their fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and entertainment content. Their career began on YouTube, where they gained popularity and built a community of over seven million subscribers. They currently have more than 4 million followers on Instagram and over five million on TikTok.

Pau Tips

Paula Galindo, known on social media as Pau Tips, started her career in 2012 on YouTube, where she reached over nine million subscribers thanks to her helpful and varied content. Over time, Pau Tips expanded to other platforms like Instagram, where she has more than 7 million followers, and TikTok, with over 2 million followers. The Colombian influencer gained additional recognition by sharing her testimony on how she overcame an eating disorder. Today, she shares content focused on fashion, beauty and fitness.

Mafe Mendez

Maria Fernanda Mendez, better known on social media as Mafe Mendez, also started her career in 2012 on YouTube, posting vlogs about her daily life and collaborating with other popular YouTubers. Soon reaching over three million subscribers on YouTube, she later transitioned to Instagram and TikTok, where she has more than three million followers on each platform. Her current content focuses on lifestyle, fashion, and beauty. She also shares her experience of living with a condition called thrombocytopenic purpura.

Kika Nieto

Kika Nieto, whose real name is Erika Nieto Marquez, is a well-known Colombian influencer from Bogotá. She has gained popularity for her diverse content on social media, including makeup tutorials, discussions on social and religious topics, and personal posts. Additionally, she is an entrepreneur and runs her own company, Kika Nieto SAS.

Nieto began her journey on social media in 2011, when she uploaded her first video to YouTube. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that she started posting content consistently and building her career as a content creator. She currently has over 7 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 4 million followers on Instagram.

Recently, Kika has explored new roles, such as hosting the show “Mujeres sin Filtro” on Canal RCN, where she discusses current issues from a female perspective.

Mario Ruiz

Mario Andres Ruiz Borda, known as Mario Ruiz, is a prominent Colombian influencer born on October 1, 1994, in Bogotá. His social media career began in 2013 with his YouTube channel, where he uploaded his first video titled “Harlem Shake.” Since then, he has gained popularity for his humorous content, parodies, challenges, and collaborations with other creators such as Mexican influencer Juanpa Zurita and Sebastián Villalobos.

In addition to his success on social media, Mario Ruiz is the author of the book ¿Cómo llegué aquí? (How Did I Get Here?), where he shares his experience on digital platforms and compares his life to a video game full of challenges. He is also the founder of “Pollo Apanado Producciones,” a studio specializing in digital and audiovisual content. Currently, he has over 5 million followers on Instagram, more than 2 million followers on TikTok, and over 3 million subscribers on YouTube.
